John is accomplished writer who has been recognized with awards in two international literary competitions. He has been published in Maple Family; New Voices: An Anthology of Post-1967 Chinese Canadian Writing in the Lower Mainland; and Thursdays, Thursdays II, Thursdays III: These Words. He also authored an academic book, The Influence of Daoism on Asian-Canadian Writers. With his Small Arts Grant, John created a book of poetry, pose and picture.
