Our Gallery Show and Market will highlight a wide range of mediums, including painting, mixed media, photography, textile, ceramics, sculpture, and more! Many of the items on display will be for sale and 100% of the sale price goes to the artists.

Our Performance showcase will include Puppetry, Literary Arts, Fashion, and music! It is a wonderful night at SFU’s Woodward’s campus in the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

About EMERGE
EMERGE is our annual celebration of DTES Small Arts Grants recipients and represents an exciting initiative, first undertaken by Vancouver Foundation and Carnegie Community Centre 16 years ago. The 2026 Group Art Exhibition, Performances, Readings, and Cultural Sharing highlight the work of a few talented artists who have their creative practice rooted in the Downtown Eastside (DTES). This annual celebration is an opportunity to shine light on DTES artists, their practices, and ideas.
In 2025-26, Vancouver Foundation funded over 100 artists and projects in the DTES for a total of $109,565.
