I am a visual artist, experimental filmmaker and Expressive Arts Therapist. I consider myself an artist for it is through art that I express my Self and, like a snake biting its tail, it is through art that I explore my inner Self. Making art is the means by which I justify and mystify my existence, and discover the universe around me and within me. I believe art to be a powerful instrument for shaping culture and, therefore, a vehicle for change. I believe that art can change the world — and it is in fact changing it!
My art practice is highly personal and process oriented. Some of the themes I explore through art are consciousness, the human body, identity, dreams, personal history and ancestry. My current practice includes painting, film, video, photography, collage, ceramic and video installation.
