Started as a painter, Tony moved into Installation Art in 2009. In January 2011, Tony made his first installation art at Richmond’s Lansdowne Shopping Centre, and that started the journey into articulating spaces within a white cube or in an open space. Influenced by the Combines, he made two Cargo Container Arts at the PNE in 2011 and at the Richmond International Film Festival in 2012. To support the community, as well as encouraged by the staffs at RAG, Tony started to run free workshops for young adults in Richmond and Vancouver since 2011. Supported by DTES Small Arts Grants, he plans to run more workshops in 2014. During an Emily Carr alumni group show in January – April, workshops will be organised with the CCC Museum, if not, it will happen in the summer. Since 2010, Tony volunteers as a gallery co-ordinator at Basic Gallery in Vancouver.
