Hi my name is Shawn Giroux. I’m a artists in many ways,paintings, musician song writing,tattooing. Video producer.
I’ve been doing art in the downtown Vancouver Eastside for 18 years. Been hosting open mic at Oppenheimer Park, the past 7 years.I facilitate art classes at Life Skills for 10years. & Co facilitate Music therapy classes for 5 years with Devon Martin. We produced over 500 song from different artists & produced a mix CD. From it , at Life Skills. & now I supervisor saving lives at M.O.P.S overdose prevention site.for the past 5 years. I live to make life easier for everyone. Thanks

I help with my confession, reminding me the awesome thing I accomplished & still inspiring other to live there Dreams.
How has DTES Small Arts Grants helped DTES artists?
It helped us get material,& to do project that included many different types of artists. Bringing us closer to each other,& collaborate, showing us together we can accomplish way more .Making us way more productive .& better quality products. Thank you guys , for making us feel like were part of something bigger. Part of a beautiful community. Thanks.
