The Downtown Eastside Small Arts Grant, gave Martin, the opportunity to produce a DVD mailer kit. He hopes to attain further funding for 56EAST, a project on addiction consisting of a series of interviews with 21 long term addicts in the Downtown Eastside. In 1987 Martin, arrived in Vancouver, he has been clean since 1990 after the death of a close friend. Martin, credits the Downtown Eastside, for both the artist and the person he has become. Film is not the only area this digital artist works in.
