Karen Irving is a self-taught artist who was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and now resides in Gastown, Vancouver, British Columbia. She has been painting since 2005 and became a full-time artist in 2014. She paints (in acrylic and oil) not for the business side of the craft, but for a sense of being one with art. Pure bliss of happiness and harmony-coming together as one mind, body and soul. Her art is about transformation and movement, a living testament of the blending textures, layers, shading and contrast. It transcends on an individual unique and a hidden journey of bold and vibrant colours that have dancing textures and mysterious images.
Karen currently welcomes you to experience her work at the Gallery Gachet she calls "Here and Now" here which is a mysterious and transformation collection and her very first exhibition held until May 9, 2017.
She is also a Collective Member and a Board Member at Large at the Gallery Gachet in Vancouver BC. She has sold five paintings in 2016 in the downtown cultural crawl held at the Kettle Friendship Society on Hastings.
