I have been drawing and painting since I was a child. I grew up surrounded by the Ontario wilderness, from the small town of Owen Sound where Group of Seven founder Tom Thomson, also grew up and whose paintings inspired me. I moved to BC in 1987 and lived in the farming community of Pemberton. Since coming to Vancouver in 1998 I became a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. I paint from my studio in Emily Carr University of Art and Design on Granville Island. I have had the privilege of doing art workshops for children and seniors at Ray Cam community centre in Strathcona. I try to always explore new mediums and new ways of creating images.
