Pippa Lattey

I like to play with movement, sound, and everyday materials. I select materials and found objects for their formal qualities and emotional appeal: party balloons, christmas decorations, colourful and polished surfaces, food. I animate items in a mesmerizing repetition, rendering them absurd. I enjoy seeing people interact with my work, when the work takes on life of its own.

With a group Small Arts Grant, I am working with Denise Holland and Juan Cisneros, filling vending machines with little art objects which will be  distributed around the DTES.
