Alain Glomo is a contemporary illustrator residing in Gastown for the past 15 years after living and working in Quebec, and California. Born and educated in Paris, he received a certificate from the National School of Applied Arts.
He worked with Frédéric Back on projects for trade fairs, murals, storyboards and interior decor of upscale restaurants in Quebec. In California he participated in the Haight Ashbury St. Fair, the San Francisco Poetry Film Festival, “Last Gasp Comics” and created promotional visual concepts for “Winterland Productions”. He also made graphic creations for garment production in Montreal.
He created visual concepts for two television programs and his illustrations have reached newspapers, magazine covers, trade fairs, downtown businesses, music industry, murals and educational games for children. He was also the proprietor of the memorabilia shop, “Backstage Collector”.
