Sherry Cooper is a mixed media artist working from her Parker Street studio in East Vancouver. Part of the DTES Small Arts Grant funds she received provided her with a larger studio space for the month of February where she created eleven paper sculptures.
Her project entitled My Fragile Bio-degradable H'Art consists of eleven paper sculptures designed to be exhibited outside hanging from a tree in Cottonwood Community Gardens where they are vulnerable to the elements of weather and human curiosity. They are made with bio-degradable materials and are meant to have a short life span. They will stay in the gardens until they decay or are removed or stolen.
